Our programs build, at the individual level, the social and human
qualities that hold the greatest potential to drive dramatic
improvements in business performance.
The greatest challenges business executives face today have to do with building and mobilizing social capital. For more than a decade we have focused exclusively on the people side of leadership development. Our programs synthesize multiple disciplines of thought – including research in business, psychology, philosophy, and cultural anthropology – that, together, provide a framework for understanding the connection between the individual leader, the organizational culture, and the bottom line.


Our approach goes on to establish the link between individual change and the business performance, ultimately enabling executives to change their organizations as they change themselves.

Our model grew out of the science behind emotional intelligence. Since AEI’s inception, we have continued to refine a proprietary process that allows us to develop individual leaders rigorously and effectively over the course of six to twelve months. We do highly individualized work (evaluation and one-on-one coaching) while simultaneously providing a business framework (curriculum) that, again, helps to reinforce the relationship between an individual’s leadership potential and the opportunities for meeting critical business objectives.

We do not offer short-courses. On the contrary, emotional intelligence in the context of leadership development represents a transformational process that is deeply personal and cannot be hurried, but which has long-lasting impact.
