Each member has extensive experience working directly with clients from a variety of industries -- from global Fortune l00 companies to privately held and publicly-traded emerging companies.
We are a group of professionals with years of experience and expertise in leadership, coaching, psychology, philosophy, cultural anthropology, business and strategy. We facilitate powerful and sustainable change at the identity level for individuals, teams, organizational units and whole organizations.

AEI understands how executive leaders think, how they feel and what they do.

Paul Wieand, Founder

Paul Wieand spent 20 years in banking before leaving the corporate world, in 1990, to pursue a Doctorate in Psychology. During his career in banking, Paul held the positions of CFO, Executive VP of Strategic Planning, COO and CEO. His last banking position was as CEO and Chairman of a Forbes 500 bank, where he continued to serve on the board of directors until 2001.

Paul became deeply interested in the human equation,
and more specifically in how individual behavior at senior levels impacts the culture and business potential
of an organization.

As a result of having led and observed countless mergers and changes in leadership, Paul became deeply interested in the human equation, and more specifically in how individual behavior at senior levels impacts the culture and business potential of an organization. He earned his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at Immaculata University and completed his internship at Trenton Psychiatric Hospital, where he specialized in working with middle-aged, high-IQ individuals with severe and chronic emotional challenges. Shortly thereafter he created AEI.

Paul has lectured at Wharton Business School, Disney's E Entertainment and Young and Rubicam's Leadership Seminar in Barcelona, Prague, and Lisbon. During 1999, he was one of four feature presenters at the MIT Sloan Leadership Conference on Leading Minds into the Next Century. During 2001, he lectured on Emotional Intelligence at the 83rd Annual Invitational Conference on Human Issues in Management, the longest continuing management conference in the world. He serves as a member of the Dean's Advisory Board to the LeBow College of Business, and is a lecturer in Drexel's Executive MBA program.

Since founding AEI, Paul has coached CEOs, COOs, Chairmen and women, and other senior executives from a broad range of industries and from some of Fortune's Most Admired Companies
